Teestar model ref. HUTS1A
Ride-on triple mower for tees, green surrounds and approaches sportsgrounds and amenity grass areas
The Teestar is a high performance hydraulic triple mower for precision cutting, designed to provide maximum performance and reliability with exceptionally low noise levels. The low centre of gravity gives excellent stability on slopes, and permanent all-wheel drive maintains grip over all turf surfaces. There is a choice of cutting units for use with or without collectors.
Service and maintenance is made easier with excellent access to the engine area and in-situ variable speed backlapping capability.

    For tees, green surrounds and
    approaches
    Optional certificated ROP bar
Optional slotted front rollers     For sports grounds and amenity areas

Features
Quality and reliability
Low decibel rating for improved operator comfort and reduced noise nuisance to players and neighbours
Operator comfort and safety with suspension seat, conveniently located controls and low centre of gravity
Manoeuvrability with excellent turning circle, power steering and operator visibility to cutters
Permanent all-wheel drive as standard for efficient traction and reduced skid damage
3 hydraulically driven floating head cutting units give 1.82m (72 in) width of cut.
Good grass collection: Quick detach boxes and concaves. Quick-detach rear deflectors supplied.
Height of cut infinitely adjustable from 6-38mm (1/4in - 11/2in) by micro-adjusters and “quick adjust” system
Cutting reels are 660mm (26in) wide x 178mm (7in) dia. with 6 or 10 blades.
Excellent quality of cut: Cutting frequency variable according to mowing speed setting.
   At 5.6km/h (3.5mph),
   6 blade reels = 72 cuts/m (65 cuts/yd),
   10 blade reels = 120 cuts/m (109 cuts/yd)
Automatic mowing speed gives controlled, consistent quality of cut
Variable speed backlapping using simple switch
Well proven 20.3hp diesel engine provides long reliable performance with economic fuel cost

Power Unit
Engine: Vanguard logo
3 cylinder, water-cooled diesel rated at 20.3hp at 2800 rpm. Low, rear mounted position with full engine cowling ensures maximum mower stability and quiet operation (80dBA). Engine cover and seat tilt fully for all-round servicing access. Engine protection against overheat and oil pressure loss by "auto-shutdown" system.
Wheel plan: 3 wheel configuration with permanent hydraulic drive to all wheels.
Transmission: Fully hydrostatic with engine-driven variable displacement hydraulic pump supplying individual wheel motors. Foot pedal for infinitely variable forward and reverse travel up to max stated speeds. Automatic fixed mowing speed.
Main frame: Fabricated tubular steel for optimum strength with low weight.
Steering: Hydraulic power steering on rear wheel.
Ground speeds:
Transport: Up to 13.6km/h (8.5mph)
Mowing: Up to 6km/h (3.8mph) with automatic fixed mowing speed.
Tyres: 18 x 9.50-8 4-ply pneumatic slick tubeless. Optional ribbed or treaded turf tyres for Teestar/Triplestar.
Brakes: Hydrostatic braking on all three wheels. Hand operated disc parking brake on rear wheel.
Controls: Foot pedal for forward and reverse travel. Master switch for cutting reel, neutral, forward rotation and reverse rotation for back lapping. Foot pedal for cutting unit lower/engage drive and raise/stop drive. Separate switch for unit lower in neutral. Main instrument console mounted on steering column. Hourmeter, Warning lights for handbrake, low oil pressure, battery charge and engine pre-heat.
Seat: Suspension seat with fore/aft and backrest adjustment and tilting arm rests.
Safety interlocks: Engine cannot start unless transmission is in neutral. Cutting reels stop revolving when operator leaves seat (unless backlap selected). Separate switch to lower units without engaging reel drive (when parking). Transmission isolated when operator leaves seat.
